Our trip through Peru, and specifically our exploration of Machu Picchu, shows us that team-building experiences can go beyond the expected. The city of Cusco offers a blend of history, culture, and adventure that can transform your team.
Cusco provides a unique backdrop for collaborative activities and experiences. From exploring the historic Plaza de Armas to the neighborhood of San Blas, there's many opportunities to connect with your team on a deeper level. Here's what we recommend in Cusco...
Day Five
We stayed in the neighborhood of San Blas – it was fun, artsy, and everything you need is right in walking distance. Shops, restaurants, beautiful architecture, and more.
Take a tour of the historical city - be sure to see the Plaza de Armas, Cathdral, San Cristobal, Calle Siete Borreguitos (a street with gorgeous flowers, very picturesque!) San Cristobal Church, Acueducto Colonial, and Saqsaywaman
Enjoy dinner at Mauka
Day Six
Enjoy a challenging but rewarding hike to Humantay Lake, a stunning turquoise glacial lake at an impressive 13,700 feet above sea level. Be prepared for a strenuous hike with a decent elevation gain of over 3,280 feet. Definitely worth the sweat.
Reward your hard work with an amazing sushi dinner at Chikara Sushi afterward!
Day Seven
Explore the city and all its delicious treats, starting off with a food tour of the Mercado San Blas. It's a huge food market offering a chance to sample delicious Peruvian classics.
Take a cooking class at Roots Cuisine & Coffee learning how to prepare classic Peruvian dishes like Pisco Sour, Alpaca Stew and even Guinea Pig! Such a fun treat for everyone to enjoy.
Enjoy the neighborhood of San Blas - do some shopping to grab a special souvenir, stop by F*ck Your Diet Pies (a pie and specialty coffee shop) for a midday treat, and when happy hour strikes, head to Limbus. A bar with amazing city views and even better Pisco sours.
End the day with dinner at Local. Delicious pizza, pasta, and a super fun atmosphere for all.
Cusco is a bustling city with so much to explore and so many delicious treats to eat. We can't recommend the Peruvian experience enough, especially for a magical team building experience. Head to the blog to learn more about our Peruvian adventure.
