happy holiday message

In this blog post, we'll dive deeper into the magic of Machu Picchu, exploring why this destination is not only a must-see, but also a powerful tool for team building. There's no doubt that the journey can build collaboration, resilience, and ignite creativity within your team.

Trade boardrooms for breathtaking views while you hike up the Peruvian Andes. After a beautiful two days in Sacred Valley, let's dive into Machu Picchu...

Day Three in Peru

After you’ve been acclimated to the altitude, the third day is the perfect time for a hike. We chose the Inca Trail and took the train to the starting point of the trail from Ollantaytumbo. The hike is about 6-7 hours, and the elevation varies with the highest point reaching 13,828 feet above sea level. The average altitude is around 9,842 feet.

It's a full day hike, so bring a boxed lunch. The views are incredible, and there will be plenty of llamas on the trail to keep you company. A long day of hiking creates a sense of shared accomplishment and camaraderie. After the trek, you can take the 30 minute bus trip down to the town of Agua Calientes.

Day Four

Take a bus back to the city of Machu Picchu to walk around the Lost City of the Incas. There are several tourist circuits to choose from - we went with Circuit 3 (Royalty Circuit) which explores royal buildings, located in the lower part of the city. Explore the city, learn about its history, and soak in the views. It's truly a breathtaking experience, and one that is sure to inspire you and your team.

Finish out your day by taking a bus to Agua Calientes, then a train to the main city of Ollantaytumbo where you can grab a car and make your way to your third and final stop.. the city of Cusco.

Enjoy dinner at Organika after a long day of exploring. You won't regret it.

Machu Picchu is a bucket list experience that I highly recommend. Head to the blog to learn more about our Peruvian adventure.
